DELBOY A personal friend, has a great web site devoted mainly to the 446 MHz license free handheld radios. I think this is the best 446MHz web site with reviews on different models and a large radio forum, Worth checking out before you buy one.
Visit Er...This: www.erthis.com
Another personal friend with a web site , jokes and humor none radio related.
A great site if you are interested in reading or building crystal radios, Circuit diagrams, Books for sale, Crystal radio vendors, Where to buy high impedance headphones, Variable capacitors and kits.
A good site if you are interested in building homebrew equipment. With many circuit diagrams for Receivers, Transmitters, Amplifiers, power supplies, and many other projects.
Another good homebrew radio web site, Projects for Receivers, Transmitters, Novice and QRP.
UK-based Electronics suppliers. They are similar to Radio Shack in the USA, Stocking components for electronic enthusiasts. Maplin do supply to overseas countries, so if you are from outside the UK, you may be able to get your components from here as a last resort. They have a large detailed catalogue with photos and it is available CD rom.
I have used this company many times, and it is a good supplier of components at very reasonable prices and have many special offers on diodes, transistors, capacitors, ICs, voltage regulators stripboards, sockets and LEDs. It is also worth checking out for hard to get transistors. Good fast and reliable mail order service.
A good source of resistors, capacitors, switches, semiconductors, cables, and connectors. They specialize in toroids and also have a good stock of surplus and hard to obtain components which can be very useful to the amateur radio operator.
A website of a work mate which is dedicated to the most useless band in the cosmoverse.
