ASSOCIATION OF BAHÁ’Í WOMEN - CASTLEREAGH

On Wednesday 16th of January the Bahá’í women of Castlereagh organised a meeting at Hackney House on the subject of Victim Support. Woman and the worldLocal officers of Victim Support addressed Bahá’ís and their friends on the work they do to help victims of violence. The meeting was given excellent support by the men in the Community, and stimulated a lot of questions. The purpose of the evening was an educational one therefore no direct teaching was done. The flow of ideas, however, and information provided a very stimulating evening. The friends present were asked by the speakers to consider becoming volunteers as they were always in need of local people to support their work. We would warmly recommend any Bahá’í community to invite this organisation to address them. It could also provide a useful network with the community for individual Bahá’ís who were interested in supporting their work. The following are the ‘phone numbers of their regional offices: Ballymena.. 25-630784 Derry..71-370086 Enniskillen..66-322475 Lisburn..92-675642 Lurgan.38-347340 Newy..30-251321 Belfast North and West..90-243133 Belfast South and East..90-328152.
