bruce wallace

good evening glastonbury! The inspiration for most of Cowala's songs can be traced to the innovative and endlessly creative guitar stylings of this man, Bruce Wallace. On top of that, there's all the extra little ideas, main vocal duties on a few songs, the Frankensteining of his effects units, as well his organisational skills and production knowledge. And yet Bruce remains just this side of irritatingly smug. Most of the time.
Outside of Cowala, Bruce is now halfway through his HNC course in Music Performance - improving his guitar playing, production technique and even his drumming. We're convinced that he plans to turn Cowala into a one-man band outfit by strapping instruments to various parts of his body and then enducing an epileptic fit.

Bruce runs a band night at the Local in Dedridge, Livingston; providing a stage and a raucous crowd for bands of all shapes and sizes. He's taking a festive break at the moment, but is preparing to rock once more come the new year.

Bruce's favourite colour changes on an hourly basis, and he will fight to a standstill any man who questions the reputation of Jimmy Somerville.
