Cowala's debut album delivers ten doses of spazzy goodness
in a breathless twenty-seven minute period. Thanks to the financial
assistance of our friends at Filthy Mind Records,
A Big Boy... was recorded in three days in March 2002 at
Chamber Studio under the steady hand of
producer Jamie Watson.
After a year on the shelves, A Big Boy... has brought untold joy to many households and gathered some favourable media attention. Tracks from the record have been played by Jim Gellaty on Beat 106FM as well as by industry legend John Peel. Teletext's Planet Sound gave the album three and a half out of five, while the List awarded a more restrained three out of five. |

Crazy and catchy, this song has been played on Radio One's legendary John Peel show. Probably our most likely single and a good place to start your Cowala obsession. This song details three dark days in Sun Prarie, Wisconsin in April 1999. |
Bruce takes on vocal duties for a song about a girl he doesn't like at all. A stomping anthem with a rocking chorus and a seering guitar solo, Passive will change your life.* *Change in life not guaranteed to be of perceptible magnitude. Your statutory rights are not affected. |

i am tokyo Chronicling the final thoughts of a city, this fun little song brings you a spaz-punk verse, a spaz-pop chorus, and a ridiculously overblown spaz-spaz-spaz-rock mid-section. |
theme from c.o.w.a.l.a. This song really is stupid. Catchy and fun and lovable, yes - but still irredeemably stupid. A fan-favourite, download this song and marvel at how it burrows into your brain and won't let go. |
