I CAN tell you a fair deal about Julie Hughes, as she is today known. While I was toiling in the cussing and swearing environment of behind the scenes as the Head Baker at the Visitors' Restaurant at Kedleston Hall, between 1987 and 1989, Julie was working just along the corridor in the somewhat more genteel atmosphere of the Gift Shop. She has now coincidentally become my sister-in-law's best friend and they go on 'girls' holidays' and 'girls' nights out' together.
